THE CURSE OF TERRITORIALISM

This is a recent post from Mark Batterson's blog and it is worth reading and repeating. We've recently moved to Columbus, Ohio with the call and passion to plant a brand new life giving church called, GraceTown Church. GraceTown is being partnered with a dynamic Church planting network called ARC (The Association of Related Churches). It has been amazing the amount of support and connection that we've received from local pastors who have encouraged us in our endeavor. Pastor Bennett Smith of The Church at Polaris has allowed us to use their church for all our launch meetings on Sunday nights. I've met with other great pastors in the city who have extended their help, support, and encouragement. Let's reach our city by encouraging each other not competing with each other. There is no room for Intimidation and insecurity in ministry. Columbus is a city of over 2.5 million people and 82% do not attend church and I've already heard it said, "Columbus already has to many churches". This is amazing to me. I feel there is a need for 500 more churches in Central Ohio to reach the amount of people who don't know Christ. Thank you Mark Batterson for your blog article.

Maybe people won't be "reached" by churches. Just a thought.
