Experiencing Memphis

This past friday we took my brother Rusty and his wife Amy to Memphis for the day. WoW, what a day we had. We started the day at Graceland to pay our respects to the king of Rock n roll. From there went to the famed Beale Street and walked around and purchased B.B. King T- shirts and experienced the blues baby. Then walked over to the world famous Peabody Hotel. When we walked in, we stood by the elevator and low and behold, here came the ducks. So cool. Then had the most incredible lunch at Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous. If you've never had their Dry rub ribs you don't know what you are missing. Then to top off the day, we took the tour of the most spirited and fascinating place in Memphis, Sun Records/Studio. This is a must see for any music fan. The birthplace of Rock n Roll. Sang in the Mic that was used by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Carl Perkins. Touched the piano that was used by Jerry Lee Lewis when he wrote and sang "Great Balls of Fire". If you ever get to Memphis, you need to experience Memphis! Rock on!
